Our Black Rock Lager Kit is a combination of three of our most popular products;

1. Black Rock Lager 1.7kg

Black Rock Lager is a classic premium Dutch style lager with a balanced hoppy bitterness. Costly, time-consuming all grain processes are not necessary to create quality craft wort at home.

Discerning home brewers are always looking to improve their brewing techniques and beer quality. With this in mind, the master brewers at Black Rock have expertly brewed the highest quality fresh wort in a state-of-the-art Krones brewery, using only the finest fresh NZ malt before gently evaporating to 80 brix for your convenience.

2. Brewmaster Motueka Hopped Brewblend 1kg

Barley Malt Powder, Dextrose, Dextrin and 25g of Motueka Hops. Promotes fermentation and adds body and flavour to all Lagers.

3. Lallemand's Novalager Yeast

Crafted for precision, it guarantees a clean, crisp brew every time. Achieve consistent results and unlock a world of lager excellence. Perfect for passionate brewers seeking unparalleled quality in every batch.

Black Rock Lager 1.7kg

  • Malt: 100% Lager malt
  • Hops, bittering: Green Bullet, Pacific Gem
  • ABV: 4.5% (approx. using 1kg Black Rock Liquid Brewing Sugar)
  • Colour and EBU:  Typical Analysis: 6+/-2 EBC (colour), 20+/-2 EBU (bitterness)

    Brewmaster's Cascade Hopped Brewblend For IPA's

    • Premium Pale Malt: A high-quality base malt that provides the foundation for your brew's flavor and body.
    • Cascade Hops: Renowned for their floral, citrusy, and grapefruit-like aroma, these hops add a signature touch to your IPA.
    • Crystal Malt: Adds a touch of sweetness and caramel flavor, enhancing the complexity of your brew.

    Lallemand's Novalager Yeast - MICROBIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

    Classified as Saccharomyces pastorianus, a bottom-fermenting yeast. Typical Analysis of LalBrew NovaLager™ yeast: 

    • Percent solids 93% – 97% 
    • Viability ≥ 5 x 109 CFU per gram of dry yeast 
    • Wild Yeast < 1 per 106 yeast cells 
    • Diastaticus Negative 
    • Bacteria < 1 per 106 yeast cells
