Brew days are now quicker and easier than ever – everything you need is conveniently provided in one comprehensive package. No fussing with additional sugars, dextrose, or malt extracts. We even include a style-specific yeast to ensure your brew is a resounding success.

Recommended Pairing:
To achieve that classic West Coast IPA signature, consider using a blend of Centennial, Cascade, Mosaic, Amarillo, Chinook, Simcoe, and Citra dry hops (not included).

Raise your glass to authenticity, craftsmanship, and the incomparable joy of a perfect pint. Cheers to the Black Rock BIB Crafted IPA – the brew that every IPA lover has been waiting for.

Brewing Instructions for Black Rock BIB Crafted IPA

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 Bag of Black Rock BIB Crafted IPA
  • Clean water
  • Brewing vessel (Fermenter)
  • Airlock
  • Sanitiser
  • Bottles or keg for storing beer
  • Dry hops of your choice (Optional: e.g. Centennial, Cascade, Mosaic)

Step 1: Sanitise

  • Begin by sanitising your brewing equipment, including fermenter, airlock, and any tools you’ll be using. We can’t stress the importance of this step enough - a clean brew is a great brew.

Step 2: Prepare the Brew

  • Pour the contents of your Black Rock BIB Crafted IPA bag into your fermenter.
  • Add 3 litres of boiling water to the fermenter and stir to dissolve the contents completely.

Step 3: Top Up

  • Add cold water to the fermenter until you reach a total volume of 23 litres. Stir well to ensure the mixture is consistent.

Step 4: Add the Yeast

  • Sprinkle the included style-specific yeast evenly over the surface of the liquid in the fermenter.
  • Seal your fermenter with an airlock and store it in a location with a stable temperature between 18-22°C (64-72°F) for optimal fermentation.

Step 5: Fermentation

  • Allow the brew to ferment for 7-10 days, or until fermentation has stopped (you can confirm this when the specific gravity is consistent over two days).

Step 6: Optional Dry Hopping

  • If you desire a more pronounced hop aroma and flavour, add your choice of dry hops directly to the fermenter after the primary fermentation is complete. Let it sit for an additional 3-5 days.

Step 7: Bottling

  • Once fermentation is complete and your beer has settled, siphon it into your sanitised bottles or keg, leaving the sediment behind in the fermenter.
  • Add priming sugar (if bottling) to carbonate your beer naturally as it conditions.

Step 8: Condition

  • Allow your beer to condition in the bottles or keg for at least 2 weeks at room temperature.

Step 9: Enjoy!

  • Once conditioning is complete, chill your beer, pour into a glass (leaving sediment in the bottle, if present), and enjoy your masterfully crafted Black Rock BIB Crafted IPA!

Remember: Brewing is both an art and a science. Feel free to experiment with different dry hops or adjusting the brewing time to create your unique version of this classic IPA.

Cheers to your brewing journey with Black Rock BIB Crafted IPA!
