Our Black Rock Crafted IPA Kit is a combination of three of our most popular products;

1. Black Rock Crafted IPA

Brewed with Caramalt and Roasted specialty malts for a typical IPA bitterness and pale brown colour. NZ Green Bullet and Pacific Gem hops are added at the boil to provide a moderate-strong bitterness. 
The wort is dry-hopped to infuse the citrus and subtle floral aromas of Wakatu hops into the final beer. Wakatu is the Maori name for Nelson, New Zealand’s famous hop growing region. Brew two cans of IPA to achieve the classic IPA bitterness and hop aroma. 
Costly, time-consuming all grain processes are not necessary to create quality craft wort at home. Discerning home brewers are always looking to improve their brewing techniques and beer quality. 
With this in mind, the master brewers at Black Rock have expertly brewed the highest quality fresh wort in a state-of-the-art Krones brewery, using only the finest fresh NZ malt before gently evaporating to 80 brix for your convenience.  

2. Brewmaster's Cascade Hopped Brewblend For IPA's

Contains Barley Malt Powder, Dextrose, Dextrin and 25g of Cascade Hops. This promotes fermentation, adds body and flavour to your IPA. 

3. Lallemand's Ale Yeast Verdant IPA

LalBrew Verdant IPA™ was chosen in partnership with Verdant Brewing Co. (UK) for its aptitude in crafting an array of hoppy and malty beers. It showcases distinctive flavours of apricot complemented by tropical fruit and citrus undertones that blend smoothly with hop aromas.

  • Malts: 74% Ale, 13.6% Lager, 12% Caramalt, 0.4% Roasted
  • Hops, bittering: Green Bullet, Pacific Gem
  • Hops, dry: Cascade

Brewmaster's Cascade Hopped Brewblend For IPA's

  • Premium Pale Malt: A high-quality base malt that provides the foundation for your brew's flavor and body.
  • Cascade Hops: Renowned for their floral, citrusy, and grapefruit-like aroma, these hops add a signature touch to your IPA.
  • Crystal Malt: Adds a touch of sweetness and caramel flavor, enhancing the complexity of your brew.

Lallemand's Ale Yeast - MICROBIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Classified as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a top fermenting yeast. Typical Analysis of LalBrew Verdant IPA;

  • Percent solids 93% – 96%
  • Viability ≥ 5 x 109 CFU per gram of dry yeast
  • Wild Yeast < 1 per 106 yeast cells
  • Diastaticus Negative
  • Bacteria < 1 per 106 yeast cells
